The Groove Conscious Dance


What is conscious dance? Conscious dance is a form of moving meditation. It is a fun, non-competitive, invigorating practise based on the belief that the mind, body, and soul are one, and that all three can be awakened through movement, creative self-expression, and inspiring music. Let the music stir your whole being to a higher level of consciousness, while you get a workout that feels nothing at all like work.

What can you expect in this class? We dim the lights, play a wide variety of music, and guide you through a few super simple moves that you do in your own way.

Try on different styles, workout different parts, de-stress, breathe, shake, sweat, stretch, meditate, smile, and radiate self-love. 

Instructor: Shannon Hancocks 

  • Sessions are 1 hour, from 2 to 3pm
  • Taught by a certified Groove Movement instructor
  • Come alone or bring your child(ren)
  • Suitable for maternity, and for postpartum if you have been cleared by your care provider for light exercise (approximately 6 weeks postpartum for most people). 
  • Purchase a single class, or cards of 5 or 10 classes
  • Punch cards can also be used for our drop-in Prenatal, Postnatal, and Flow yoga classes
